Alright… so I don’t hate all bumper stickers; maybe not even most of them. What I do not appreciate is the flaming, crap-flinging, insulting, unproductive ways that people use their bumper to proclaim 2-cent distillations of stances on issues which–if considered–might merit more than 10 words worth of representation. The net effect of all of the political, religious, and cultural emblems is quick and derisive polarization. Couple that with a keen liking for irony + modern toys and you have ihatebumperstickers.com .
There are three main things going on here. The first is our growing collection of user-submitted pictures and quotes from bumper stickers observed in there natural habitat. The second is our periodic blog; here we will mock or laud the wit, and engage the issue at hand. We encourage our users to comment, keeping in mind that we are not looking for the most offensive content. On the contrary, we want our fellow ironic moderates to offer more tempered arguments. The third part of the site is where you can support us and our agenda by purchasing our stuff. We hope you enjoy your stay, and in the mean time–Engage, don’t Enrage.
